Guide

Three steps.

Copy a link, paste it, choose a quality. There is no fourth step and no account to make.

  1. 01

    Copy the video link

In a phone app, tap the share control — usually an arrow or a three-dot menu — and choose Copy link. In a desktop browser, click the address bar and press Ctrl+C, or Cmd+C on a Mac.

It has to be the link to the video itself. A link to somebody’s profile or a search results page has no video behind it for us to read.

  2. 02

    Paste it into the field

On the home page, tap Paste and the field fills from your clipboard. On a computer you can press Ctrl+V anywhere on the page — you do not have to click the field first.

The platform is worked out from the link itself, so there is no list to pick from. When it recognises the link the field turns orange and names what it found.

  3. 03

    Choose a quality

Every available format is listed with its resolution, approximate file size and whether audio is included. 1080p is marked as the sensible default. MP3 is there if you only want the sound.

Pick one and the file saves straight to your device. On a phone it lands in Downloads or your gallery; on a computer, your Downloads folder.

If something goes wrong

Common snags

Nine times out of ten the link points at a profile rather than a video. Open the video so it fills the screen, then copy the link from there.

If the account is private, or the post is limited to friends, the platform will not serve it to us any more than it would to a logged-out visitor. There is no way around that.

We only offer what the platform actually holds. If it was uploaded at 720p then no 1080p version exists — and we will not upscale one and label it HD.

Your browser may be blocking clipboard access. Tap the field and paste by hand — long-press on a phone, Ctrl+V on a computer.
