How Twitch VODs work
A VOD is the full recording of a past broadcast, and the practical issues are all consequences of length. A four-hour stream is a multi-gigabyte file that has to be reassembled from thousands of small segments, so expect a real wait and check you have the disk space. VODs also expire: Twitch keeps them for seven, fourteen or sixty days depending on the channel's status, after which they are deleted.

Check the length before you start. A four-hour broadcast at 1080p can exceed 6 GB, and 720p or audio-only will often serve you better.
